Documents Required to be Submitted at the Time of Driving Licence

Learner’s Licence, Proof of address: Any one of the following document can be submitted as proof of address, Ration card., Passport: Voter’s identity card (EPIC Card), Life insurance policy, Utility bills like electricity, telephone bill, gas bill, State or Central Government issued pay slip, Proof of age: any one of the following can be submitted as proof of age: PAN card, School matriculation certificate, Voter’s identity card (EPIC card), Passport, Birth certificate. Driving school certificate (for transport vehicle driving licence applicants), all documents pertaining to the vehicle to be used for the driving test, Passport- sized photograph.

Process to Apply for the Driving Licence Online

To apply for the Driving Licence Online first of all you have to visit to the sarathi website and then download the application form. Start filling the application form. In the PART A you have to enter all the asked details such as Type of License (Learner’s or Driving License), State (select from drop down menu), Name of RTO/DTO (select from drop down menu), Applicant’s name- first name, middle name and surname, Gender, Date of birth (in dd/mm/yyyy format), Place of birth (optional), Country by birth, Email address (optional), Name of either father/husband/guardian in full, Permanent address proof (copy is to be enclosed along with form), Present address, Citizenship status (by birth / naturalization / registration / descent / non-Indian), Educational qualification, Identification marks (optional), Blood group.

In the PART B enter the information regarding the type of vehicle for which you want to get a licence to drive. In the PART C attach the required proof in the next part that is PART D is the section of the declaration that the applicant enters the correct information in the form. In the last part that is PART E enter the asked details and then click on the submit tab. after the form submission a web application number will be generated by which you can track the status of your application form. When the application form will be going into the next process you will receive a message.
